Ambassador | Adam ‘adamyid’ Owen is New Backdoor Quads Ambassador

When Backdoor Quads first started, it was just one guy working from his university dorm. As it has grown the site has been privileged to attend the Global Poker Masters and the EPT in Malta, as well as the UK Student Poker Championships in Coventry. Our primary focus currently is to not only keeping the frequency of articles high, but introducing varying perspectives on the world of poker for our readers. Therefore, we are excited to announce UKIPT Isle of Man High Roller Champion, and mixed games maestro Adam ‘adamyid’ Owen as our first Backdoor Quads Ambassador.
Owen, who hails from Folkstone in the UK, is currently in Berlin playing the WSOPE, including the €2,200 Mixed Game, said “I’m really excited to be joining Backdoor Quads, and I’m looking forward to helping the site and the brand grow.”

His year so far includes 23 cashes in 9 countries, including five at this year’s World Series. A personal highlight for him was the $10,000 Razz Championship where he finished third in a star-studded field for $104,914, beating the likes of Shaun Deeb, Eric Seidel and Stephen Chidwick.

More recently Adam eclipsed a final table of poker legends to win the UKIPT Isle of Man High Roller. The table included former WSOP Main Event Champion Chris Moneymaker, Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree and Irish legends Dara O’Kearney and Daragh Davey.

In his role Adam will be representing the site at major international poker festivals, as well as contributing regular articles on a variety of topics. “It’s great for me to have an outlet. You can expect to hear my views on prevalent issues in the poker world, including advice, anecdotes and maybe even some strategy.”
